After working as one of Swebor’s machine operators for many years, Mathias wanted to try something different. So, four years ago, he switched roles and became a process operator — a job that includes being responsible for hardening many different kinds of steel products, from grouser bars to armour steel.

“I like the fast-paced environment and I still have so much to learn when it comes to steel production. I’m lucky to work with skilled people who have gained a lot of knowledge over the years.”
